Keep In Step With the Spirit-Part 2-Encourage the Question

John 16:7-15, Psalm 8, Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31, Romans 5:1-5

Theme: The Holy Spirit always directs our hearts and minds to Jesus and his teaching, so we can trust Him to guide us in our deepest questions about life.

  1. What have been some of the most difficult questions for you to answer in regards to the world and faith?

  2. What does John 16:7-15 teach us about the role that the Holy Spirit has in our lives as Christians?

  3. Reflect on Psalm 8:3-6. What does this say about human dignity? Why is this important in working with young people?

  4. Look at Romans 5:1-5. What is the role of the Holy Spirit in helping Christians with suffering?

  5. Bringing these questions together, what is the Holy Spirit teaching you?

  6. How do you feel led to pray?

Study Challenge Week 2

There are two readings per day. One way to worship God intentionally is to set aside two times in your day, listening to Him through one reading in the morning and one in the evening.

First, be silent in prayer for 1 minute.

Second, thank God for 2 specific things.

Third, invite Jesus to speak to you by asking these 3 questions.

  1. What are these verses trying to say?

  2. Who is He inviting me to share this with?

  3. How can I weave the work and fruit of the spirit into my daily life?

Finish in prayer for yourself, your family, your neighbors, your co-workers, your church.
