Welcome Wednesday Update
Dear Stillmeadow Family,
We're on a journey towards Christ and it's awesome to be on that journey together. As we walk, let's remember that we can trust Him in our work, in our family making, in our neighboring.
WILL YOU PRAY FOR AND SUPPORT OUR 30 HOUR FAMINE CREW?
Youth from both of our campuses are going without 30 hours this weekend to raise money so others can eat! Why? Because 1 in every 9 people in the world do not have enough to eat. 98% of these people live in developing countries. Some live at the mercy of hunger crises like the one that struck East Africa. Others have been forced from their homes, scraping by with that they can find. But when we come together, there's hope. Hunger has decreased by 20% in the past 25 years, thanks to people like you. Will you help our teens end hunger? You can give online here: https://youth.worldvision.org/participant/40379
JOIN THE COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING MEAL THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH
There will be a community Thanksgiving meal served at York City Campus on Sunday, November 18th at 2PM as a collaborative between numerous congregations in the east-side of York City. You are invited to come out, enjoy the meal and connect with people in the community.
THANKS AGAIN TO THOSE WHO HELP DISCIPLE THROUGH THE AGES
To follow Jesus is to enter a relationship with Him. To enter and continue a relationship with Him, we need relationships with others who help us understand Him and His way of love. We have a host of children's, youth and adult discipleship leaders at Stillmeadow who help us be a church that disciples people from the cradle to the grace. THANK YOU to all who pour out your hearts and spend your time on behalf of helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus. If you'd like to join the children's, youth or adult discipleship team, you can sign up here: www.stillnaz.com/leadership.
PREPARING FOR ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS SEASON
As Christmas approaches, we have a couple ways we'll be celebrating as a family. First, on December 2 at 11AM, Children's Ministries is hosting the Advent Experience. Second, on December 9 at 9:30, we'll have a collaborative Christmas Musical with children and worship ministries. Third, we'll have two Christmas Eve worship services, 4:00 at our Chestnut Street Campus and 6:00 at our Stillmeadow Lane Campus. Fourth, we'll have our Christmas Blessing Trees starting on Nov. 18 and ending on Dec. 9 with gifts to be distributed on Dec. 23. Watch for a flier with all this information soon!
THANKS FROM JONATHON PHILLIPS
Dear Stillmeadow Family; It was wonderful to be with you in October and to share an update with both campuses. Thank you for the generous offering of support, for participating in the fundraiser at Hoss’s, and for your continued prayers as I minister in Romania. Blessings, Jonathan Phillips
THIS WEEK'S BLESSING
In our three part series on the Psalms, we read and studied Psalm 127 on Sunday. From that, here is the blessing:
As you go on your journey this week, may you remember that you get to be God’s partner in His work this week. May you see your work and your family life in light of His work and family life. May you leave striving behind and relax in him, enjoying your labor and giving everything to it.
