Welcome Wednesday Update
Holy Wednesday Friends!
When the disciples prayed, "increase our faith!" Jesus replied, "If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you." (Luke 17:5-6). Let's invite Christ to give us mustard seeds of faith as we follow Him and live in a way that requires us to place all our faith in Him.
ENTER THE LENTEN SEASON WITH WORSHIP ON ASH WEDNESDAY (March 6)
The season of Lent is a time to remember our limits and God’s limitless love and grace. To start the season we will join in worship with our brothers and sisters of the Black Ministers Association at our Chestnut Street Campus at 7PM on March 6.
JOIN THE NEW SUNDAY MORNING MORE CLASS
Beginning March 3, we will add another MORE Class. The Message Observation Reflection and Encouragement Class meets at 11 right after the 9:30 service on our Stillmeadow Lane Campus. Steve and Robin Yinger will be hosting this group. If you haven't plugged into a group on Sunday morning and are looking for a people to connect to, check this out!
PREPARE FOR BAPTISM SUNDAY: MARCH 17
Have you committed your life to Christ and want to show the world? Baptism is a powerful symbol of a powerful reality: Christians are people whose past sins have been washed away through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross (1 Peter 3:21); not only this, but baptism symbolizes that Christians get "dunked" to symbolize that they are burying their old selves in Christ and get "pulled out" of the water to symbolize that they are allowing Christ to raise His life through them (Colossians 2:12). So, we're having baptisms on March 17. If you'd like to be baptized, sign up here: www.stillnaz.com/baptism.
LEGACY SUNDAY IS COMING!
On March 24 at 11AM on our Stillmeadow Lane Campus, we're bringing our adult discipleship groups together with our children's and youth ministry groups! As a big family in Christ, this is a fun and meaningful way to bring the generations together. If you're not a part of a group on Sunday's but would like to be, this would be a great way to join in! If you'd like to, stop by the welcome desk for information about our Sunday morning groups.
RECEIVE THE BLESSING FROM SUNDAY
As Jesus invited his disciples to dig deep and build their lives on his instructions in order to see as He sees, may you receive his grace to ask the hard questions and base all you do on His love and character. May you receive his strength to take the courageous steps of removing planks, checking the fruit and digging deep.
