Welcome Wednesday Update

Happy Frigid Wednesday!

On this cold day, may we allow God's love to warm our spirits and move in us to warm up the places and spaces we go!

DO THE DISCIPLESHIP YEAR CHALLENGE

This next year we will fix our eyes on making it “The Discipleship Year.” You are encouraged to take the Discipleship Year Challenge in its three acts: 1) Engage with Jesus Daily (be daily in prayer and in the word), 2) Pray to Serve at 10:02, 3) Do the Disciple Loop (be discipled, disciple somebody). For more info, check it out here! www.stillnaz.com/prayerchallenge

BAPTISM SUNDAY: MARCH 17

Have you committed your life to Christ and want to show the world? Baptism is a powerful symbol of a powerful reality: Christians are people whose past sins have been washed away through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross (1 Peter 3:21); not only this, but baptism symbolizes that Christians get "dunked" to symbolize that they are burying their old selves in Christ and get "pulled out" of the water to symbolize that they are allowing Christ to raise His life through them (Colossians 2:12). So, we're having baptisms on March 17. If you'd like to be baptized, sign up here: www.stillnaz.com/baptism

ALABASTER OFFERING COLLECTION ON FEBRUARY 17

On January 6 we heard from Jerry Porter about some of the awesome things that Alabaster offerings have helped accomplish around the world. (If you missed it, check out his message here: https://youtu.be/aFte-P2OBGs?t=2096) And we handed out "Alabaster Boxes" that day! We'll have more available on Sunday. And you can bring your boxes back on February 17!

ANNUAL REPORTS AVAILABLE

God has been faithful in his work at Stillmeadow and we are blessed with an incredible team of pastors and leaders.  We'd love to share some of that work with you. So, in addition to the reports shared on Sunday morning and Sunday evening, we will be making available reports from all our pastoral staff. This will also include our annual financial report. Check the info center on Sunday morning!

BLESSING FROM SUNDAY

As Jesus was sent to proclaim good news, you are being sent into your homes, your workplaces, your schools, your neighborhoods, your world in order that your words and actions may be echoes of his love and grace. In this disciple year, may God give you the courage and strength to give your entire imagination, entire hope, every single habit and dream to Jesus’ mission of freedom-bringing.
