Series: Meet Me In The Garden Part 1: Not My Will, But Thine

Sermon Text: Luke 22:39-46

Reflection Questions:

  1. What milestone moments (new job, new child, new school, graduation, etc) did you have in the past year? Take a moment to give thanks to God for those.

  2. What milestone moments are coming up for you in the next year? How are you feeling about those?

  3. Read Luke 22:39-46. What does this show you about our Friend and Savior Jesus?

  4. What does it mean to pray, “Not my will, but yours”?

  5. Think through the past moments of 2023: were there any relationships, habits or occurrences that you regret and wish that you had been more intentional about doing them according to God’s will and not your own?

  6. Thinking through the upcoming moments of 2024, are there any areas where you know you need to pray “not my will, but yours”?

  7. Close this time with that prayer. Name the upcoming milestone moments and join Jesus by praying, ‘Not my will, but yours.”
