Stillnaz Youth Update 11.26.24

Stillmeadow Families,

Happy Thanksgiving Week! I am thankful for each of you and the opportunity we have to be together during this season of our lives! Tonight we are entering our Advent series and we are talking about Tamar, who is in Jesus' genealogy. We are exploring how Tamar is a picture of hope for us as we think about what hope really is during the first week in Advent which starts Sunday! Disclaimer: Tamar's story is a bit scandalous; prostitution is part of her story, we will not be focusing on that but instead focusing on how scandalous sin meets scandalous grace. It is hard to believe we are moving into the Advent season! Below is our Youth schedule through the end of the year! Our Advent Series will be called "A picture of love." Each consecutive week we will look at a picture of hope, peace, joy and love through Jesus' genealogy. Teens will be split into teams to compete in games throughout the Advent season which will include a photograph competition each week of finding an actual picture of hope, peace, joy and love in your community. We will post these photos on the Band App and winners will be selected. The winning team for the entire Advent competition will receive a prize at the Christmas Party!

Tuesday, 12/10- Advent Series, "A Picture of Joy," caroling and cookies *This night we will serve the community around Stillmeadow by walking to deliver cookies and carol. Please consider making cookies and donating them for us to hand out. 2 cookies per baggie would be great!
