Purpose & Power, Kids Ministry Opportunities, Family Fall Fest

Dear Stillmeadow Saints,

Are you ready and willing to be empowered to proclaim GodStory to your home, workplace and neighbors?

Yesterday we reflected on Acts 2 and the utterly unique Pentecost moment that occurred 2000 years ago and has left a permanent mark on world history. The Holy Spirit showed up in a mighty way to co-operate with the first disciples who obeyed Jesus and waited in Jerusalem for the gift that the Father had promised.

The disciples knew their purpose was to share the good news of Jesus with the world, and on Pentecost they discovered the personal power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill that purpose. What happened that day is happening today to those who wait and pray and obey.

So, I invite you to consider this question again: Are you ready and willing to be empowered to proclaim GodStory to your home, workplace and neighbors?

I encourage you to set aside time to pray each day, asking God to show you the way to obey in sharing his good news with those around you.

As you do, will you also take a moment to pray for the family of Pastor Ron Grey? He was the district superintendent of the East Jamaica district, with whom we built an eternal friendship and partnered to build up the church in East Jamaica. He was a champion for the good news of Jesus, ready and willing to share GodStory in the market and the street, with anybody he would meet.

Grace and Peace,

Josh

Why we tithe. In October we’re emphasizing the giving of the tithe. Tithing is how the body of Christ pitches in together to support the mission of the church. It is an act of trust and generosity by giving the first 10% of your income. When you tithe to Stillmeadow, you fund our pastoral and office staff, our ministry programs and the maintenance of our buildings (and more).
