A Day 2 Pray, Gather and Give, Church Elections
Dear Stillmeadow Saints,
A BIG THANKS!
To all those who prayed, donated candy, decorated a table, grilled hot-dogs, handed out candy, joined the dance party, talked to a stranger, made children and families feel welcome at the Family Fall Fest on Sunday! What an incredible evening of God’s joy shared with our neighbors at our York City Campus.
Peter’s Encouragement for the Church
As we enter the home stretch of our year long series GodStory OurStory, we’ve entered the letter writing phase of the New Testament. Each letter was written by someone deeply interested in seeing the early church grow in Christ. Yesterday, we looked at the life and letters of Peter (see the City Campus message or the Stillmeadow Lane message). Peter had a lot to say, but here are 6 things we highlighted for the church to remember from 1 Peter 1:1-12 and 2 Peter 3:8-18.
Remember this…
You have been chosen by God.
You’ve been given a new adoptive family.
Suffering is part of following Christ.
We must commit to continual growth.
We should beware of false teachings.
We are invited to prepare for Jesus to return at any moment.
A Day 2 Pray: October 28
The early church was known for it’s vibrant life of prayer, and we want to follow them in their prayers. So tomorrow, October 28, we have set aside THE ENTIRE 24 HOURS for prayer. Here is the list of hours. And you can find the prayer guide here.
And we’re joining together in person for prayer from 6:30-8:00 at Stillmeadow Lane. Let’s join Jesus in his prayers (Romans 8:34).

Join Kid’s Ministry
Our Stillnaz Kid’s Ministry is looking for more volunteers with our babies, preschoolers, and elementary kids on Sunday mornings, and on Tuesday nights, where we work to present the story of God in developmentally appropriate ways and to help them discover what it looks like to live a life with Jesus! As I mentioned in our announcements yesterday, all lesson materials are provided. Gather & Give Pasta Dinner
Youth Ministries is excited to announce a special event coming to Stillmeadow Lane on Saturday, November 15th! GATHER & GIVE PASTA DINNER! There will also be an interactive dessert auction and silent auction!
This event will help raise funds for our youth to participate in Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC ’26)!

Church Board & Childcare Center Board Elections
The annual election will take place after each service at both campuses on Sunday, November 9. All members over the age of 15 can vote (age 13 and older can vote for NYI President). There are two flyers available at the Welcome Center (one for Church Board and One for Childcare Center Board) with nominee information and pictures to assist you to prepare.
Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Pastor Appreciation Month
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Both campuses of Stillmeadow are blessed to have dedicated, passionate staff members who truly care for our people. Let's remember and honor the pastoral staff this month with cards, notes of encouragement, gift cards, meals, and get-togethers. Most of all, please keep praying for them and their families.

Why we tithe. In October we’re emphasizing the giving of the tithe. Tithing is how the body of Christ pitches in together to support the mission of the church. It is an act of trust and generosity by giving the first 10% of your income. When you tithe to Stillmeadow, you fund our pastoral and office staff, our ministry programs and the maintenance of our buildings (and more).
