Happy New Year! // Vision Sunday and New Giving Platform
Happy New Year Friends,
On Sabbath Sunday we kicked off our first series of the year: “Baby Steps.”
2026 Theme: Embracing Unity
We believe that if we are going to accomplish God’s big goal of “Embracing Unity,” it will take the daily discipline of doing the little things that God has called us to do. That’s why we’re starting this year emphasizing the basics of our faith.
Growth Plans Are Helpful for Resolutions
In our culture, January is typically when folks make resolutions to change. We encourage you to use our Growth Plan Worksheet as a framework for changing your life with Jesus. If you already have a Growth Plan, prayerfully review and update it with the guidance of the Spirit.
New Daily Reading Schedule with Living Word
Last year we ventured through the entire Bible with a Bible App Plan. This year, we’re partnering with folks at Living Word for their weekly devotionals with daily readings. We will have a few printed off and available at our welcome centers, but you can find digital copies on their website here. (Yes, we are linking to another church. No, we are not in competition with them. Yes, we are on the same team and in the same spiritual family!)
Catch Up on Sunday’s Messages
Did you miss our second installment of the new Baby Steps series? Watch the message shared by Pastor Josh (Stillmeadow Lane) or Pastor Jade (York City Campus).
Gratefully Yours,
Josh
The Main Announcements
Here’s the main announcements for this week:
Vision Sunday on January 25
New Giving Platform
Vision Sunday & Chili/Soup Cook Off on January 25
It is important to take time to remember God’s faithfulness and to set aside time to prepare ourselves for God’s future. Vision Sunday is a look back at the year before (2025) and a look ahead at the year to come (2026).
We’ll hear stories of God’s work in our Sunday morning services. And we’ll gather both campuses together at our Annual Chili/Soup Cook Off on Sunday Night from 5:30-7:30 at our Stillmeadow Lane Campus.
And, to make it even more interesting, we will have a fun competition for those who bring a chili or a soup to share! Go to stillnaz.com/visionsundaycookoff to sign up for what Chili or Soup or Side you’d like to bring!
New Giving Platform
In 2026 we are switching online giving platforms from ShelbyNext to ChurchCenter. We already use ChurchCenter for our groups, family ministries check-ins, and directory! Just go to stillnaz.churchcenter.com/giving to start giving online through Church Center. Watch this video for an easy explanation.

Thank you from..
Dear church family,
The Journey House Board wants to thank you for the tremendous generosity in response to our need for funds to replace the roof on the house. The overwhelming outpouring of love allowed us to immediately schedule the roof replacement. I am very thankful to tell you that the roof has been replaced prior to the winter snow and ice. The Journey House residents and board are so thankful for the Godly response of the congregation. Please relay our gratefulness to the congregation. Thank you.
Todd Henry, Journey House President
Congratulations to…
