The Preparation // Guatemala, Grad Sunday, Engagement Team
Dear Easter People!
He is Risen!
In this fifth week of the Easter Season, we looked at “the Preparation of the Resurrected Savior.” There are two levels of preparation: First, the Resurrected Savior is preparing a place for us (see John 14); second, the Resurrected Savior is preparing us for a purpose. In Stephen’s martyrdom moment (Acts 7), we see a man living into that preparation, a man capable of praying a prayer of trust and a prayer of forgiveness because he had been prepared for the trial by his Triumphant Savior.
Isn’t it something to think that Jesus is preparing a place for you (read John 14)? Isn’t it incredible to know that Jesus is preparing you for a greater purpose than you would have chosen (again, read John 14 and add 1 Peter 2:1-10)?
Tune into the messages for more on this (here’s York City and here’s Stillmeadow Lane).
I’m grateful for you, praying for you and cheering for you as you allow Jesus to prepare you for what’s ahead and as you look to him through it all.
It is true! He is Risen,
Pastor Josh
