Whose Authority? // Family Fall Fest, Child Dedication, Habitat
Dear Stillmeadow family,
Yesterday we began our Fall Series: “Don’t Miss the Point.” The church today has a lot to learn from what Jesus had to say to the religious establishment in Matthew 21-25. You could summarize his message to the Jewish leaders of his time: “Don’t Miss the Point!”
There’s Still Time to Change Your Mind and Live Under God’s Authority
The parable of the two sons (Matthew 21:28-32), where one said he would work but didn’t, and one said he wouldn’t work for his father but changed his mind and did, was told to illustrate the great point that Jesus came to say: “There’s still time to change your mind.” Jesus wanted people to know that no matter what they had done up to this point in their lives there was still an opportunity to change their minds and believe and enter his kingdom.
So, may you be encouraged in two ways this week. First, if you have an area of your life where you are not living under God’s authority, where you have not surrendered, where you live out of fear, then receive Jesus’ invitation to faith. Trust him with that addiction, with that relationship, with that habit. Second, think of a friend who is wandering from God. Pray for an opportunity to share the good news that there’s still time for them to change their mind and believe and enter the kingdom of God with Jesus.

Child Dedication in 2027
We just celebrated the dedication of the Haar’s and the Strait’s and are looking forward to our next Dedication Event in 2027. This is a special event designed to help parents in their goal of raising their children to know and follow Christ. Our next event will be in March 2027. Habitat for Humanity: Make a multi-generational impact. October serve days are Saturday the 3rd and Friday the 16th.
Family Ministry: Want to make a positive impact in a child’s life? Come and volunteer in Family Ministry! You can serve in the Nursery, Preschool, Elementary, & Youth group. We have opportunities on Sundays & Tuesdays.
