Call to Worship: Psalm 86:1-10

Reflection Questions

  1. Begin by reading Psalm 86:1-10. Pause to worship God. in silence

  2. Think about the spaces of your life that God feels silent

    1. Express to the Lord your discomfort in the silence

    2. Ask Him to reveal His presence

    3. Ask Him for an increased trust

  3. Ask the Lord to show you the spaces you feel you are in the middle

    1. Pray for endurance and strength

    2. Ask God for the clarity to see His work even when it feels like He isn't working

    3. What image does He give you?

  4. Ask God to reveal your tendencies when you are waiting- control, extremism, retreat, piety, etc...

    1. Turn your palms downward in an act of telling the Lord you are giving up your human tendencies

    2. Open your palms upward to receive the guidance He is giving you

  5. What is Jesus saying to you about the hope and deliverance he offers?

    1. Ask for hope and a restored vision

  6. Where have you been scattered to offer the hope to others?

    1. Ask the Lord what spaces He is bringing to mind for your to bring the hope of Jesus

  7. What are the silent places of our world?

    1. Intercede for others in the world that are trapped in silence

    2. Ask the Lord the break through and bring revival

  8. Close by praying Psalm 86:11-17.
