Reflection Questions
Reflect on Psalm 117.
What story or part of Jonathan’s message encouraged or challenged you?
Spend time reflecting on Matthew 28:18-20. What does it mean to “make disciples?” What are you doing to make disciples?
Why did Jesus say to make disciples “of all nations?” Is your heart burdened for “all nations?” Do your prayers and actions reflect Jesus’ desire for the lost?
Why is baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit an essential part of discipleship? What’s your baptism story?
What is the “everything I have commanded” that Jesus wants his disciples to teach new disciples? Is there any part of the “everything” that you are avoiding to obey or to teach?
Hear Jesus say this to you: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” How does this affect the way you think, speak and live?
Close in prayer. Pray Matthew 28:18-20 over Jonathan and other missionaries. Ask God for a missionary heart for yourself, your family, your church and small group.
