Reflection Questions
Begin by meditating on Psalm 69:29-36.
As we begin the season of Advent, our first theme is hope. How is Christian hope different from worldly hope?
What stands out to you in the opening verses of Revelation 1:1-8? How do these verses set the tone for the rest of the book?
The theme of suffering is significant in Revelation. What role does suffering play in the lives of believers, according to this passage? How can this message help us endure difficulties in our own lives?
How can your life reflect that you are living with hope? What changes would you like to make? How would you explain your hope to an unbeliever?
How does knowing that God wins in the end help you endure the chaotic world we live in today? What are ways that you are encouraged?
How can the promise of a life without mourning, crying, or pain bring comfort in your present situations? How can we pray for hope as we wait?
Close in prayer over the response to the last question. If you’re in a group, pray for each other.
