Stillnaz Youth Update 01.21.25

Stillmeadow Families,

Happy Tuesday! Tonight is Ignite! I am so excited to have one of our teens preaching tonight on forgiveness. When we think about the Israelites coming to the edge of the water and feeling like they were trapped, we remember that we bring a lot of things to the edge of the water and feel trapped sometimes, but God provides a way. And He provides a way toward reconciliation and forgiveness even when it's hard.

Reminder: this year we will be our year of outreach/invitation! We will concentrate on sharing stories about inviting people into the presence of God. Last year, we celebrated our relationships with God and one another and this year we will look outside of our walls as a focus! We will have service Tuesdays four times a year and we will participate with York Helping Hands four times a year! The first opportunity with York Helping Hands is THIS SATURDAY, January 25th from 11-1pm, details are below! A list of what we are collecting is also below!

Since there will be times we will serve on a Tuesday night off site, we are asking every family to fill out the yearly permission slip that is attached that gives us permission to take your child off site on a Tuesday night! Please fill this out and return it to pmoses@stillnaz.com ASAP! Thank you!

Finally, we are having a winter retreat this year! It will be the weekend of 2/7-2/9. This will include a retreat time of devotions and prayer. Friday night will be a lock-in style night, where we will stay up late and sleep at the church. Saturday morning, we will have breakfast and go snow tubing as a youth group then return to the church for dinner. Saturday night we will spend the night in host homes and be back at the church Sunday after second service. I am praying this is a time of connection and unity and growth! This will be 40$/person which will cover meals for Saturday and snow tubing! Here is the link to register.... Deadline is next Tuesday 1/28! If they want to secure a t-shirt, they must register by end of Sunday, 1/26!
