Stillnaz Youth Update 01.27.25

Stillmeadow Families,

Happy Monday! Tomorrow night, we are doing a dive into Exodus 32 where the Israelites make an idol at the foot of the mountain. The same people who can see the Lord's presence at the top of the mountain. The same people who just committed to keeping the covenant with God. We are going to look at the idolatry from the perspective of Aaron and the people. Idols are lifeless and we become what we worship. So when we are worshipping something other than the Lord, we become dead. It hinders us from having life and living in God's love and joy and forgiveness. We must name them, get rid of them and turn to Jesus instead. Pray with me that we will all leave our idols behind and turn to the life Jesus offers instead.

Since there will be times we will serve on a Tuesday night off site, we are asking every family to fill out the yearly permission slip that is attached that gives us permission to take your child off site on a Tuesday night! Please fill this out and return it to pmoses@stillnaz.com ASAP! Thank you!

Finally, tomorrow is the last day to register for winter retreat! It will be the weekend of 2/7-2/9. This will include a retreat time of devotions and prayer. Friday night will be a lock-in style night, where we will stay up late and sleep at the church. Saturday morning, we will have breakfast and go snow tubing as a youth group then return to the church for dinner. Saturday night we will spend the night in host homes and be back at the church Sunday after second service. I am praying this is a time of connection and unity and growth! This will be 40$/person which will cover meals for Saturday and snow tubing! Here is the link to register....
