The Middle, Welcome Bash, Foster Care Meetup

Dear Stillmeadow Family,

On Sunday, Pastor Tabitha preached at the Stillmeadow Lane Campus and Pastor Casey preached at the York City Campus about being in “the middle.” In our year long series through scripture, we arrived at the 400+ year “intertestamental period” between the Old Testament and New Testament. Within that timeframe God’s people were waiting for him to send the Messiah and bring deliverance. They had been scattered throughout the middle east because of various empires and were waiting for God to draw them back again.

Casey and Tabitha shared that believers today are in a similar waiting period. Yes, Jesus has come and brought deliverance from sin, but each of us finds ourselves “in the middle” and each of us has been “scattered” to where we are. While we wait for Jesus to come again, we have been planted to offer the living hope of Jesus to our neighbors.

We encourage you to prayerfully consider the middle places you find yourself in and ask God for endurance and strength. We encourage you to pray for those who find themselves in difficult middle places and to ask God for wisdom and grace to serve them with his hope. Jesus has come. And he is coming again! Let’s trust and obey.

Tuesday Night Family Nights in the Fall

Beginning October 7, we’re adding children’s programming and adult classes to our current youth ministry and men’s ministry on Tuesday nights! I’m looking forward to teaching a course on spiritual formation in the household. Look for more information soon! If you’re interested in serving in kids ministry, connect with Pastor Brooklynn!

I’m praying for and cheering for you as you go about this week (which for many includes sending kids to school).

In His love and power,

Josh

Child Dedication Event

Child Dedication

The most important task of a parent is to create a home where their child can begin and grow in a relationship with Jesus. The Child Dedication event is a milestone moment where the parents and the church community publicly commit to serve our kids, surrender them to Jesus and set an example for them to follow.
