Advent Theme: Peace and Our Holiday Schedule
Happy Advent Dear Friends,
On this second week of Advent we focus on the theme of peace.
Dallas Willard once said, “Peace is not the absence of trouble. You can have peace in the midst of trouble. Peace is an awareness of abundance.”
And Hebrews 12:14 says, “Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” This peace that we have and that we extend is not something we generate ourselves. It is sourced in God himself.
So, receive this blessing from Hebrews 13:20-21: “May the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen!”
If you missed the first Sunday of Advent with us, be encouraged by Sunday’s messages of hope from Pastor Brad (Stillmeadow Lane) and Pastor Jade and Chastity (York City Campus).
Gratefully Yours,
Josh
