Real Love // Fall Disciple Groups, Child Dedication, Family Fall Fest, Youth Fall Retreat
Grace and Peace to you, dearly beloved!
Sunday’s Welcome Bash at our York City Campus was drenched with God’s presence! Praise him for the five baptisms that we celebrated! Praise him for the time of worship and word and fellowship we experienced! Praise him for the unity in Christ that we shared (and continue to share)! It was our last time in our August series, but it was a joy to say our theme verse together as both campuses. I encourage you to continue to put this verse to heart and into action:
Romans 12:1-2.
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
As we turn to the fall, I urge you, if you are not in a small group, to make time for one of the small groups that we have or to start one of your own so that you can experience the beauty of growing in Christ with others. You were not made to do this alone. See the options below. If none of those work for you, get a friend or two and then choose a plan from Nazarene Discipleship Place or a series from RightNow Media. Wherever you go, don’t go alone; however you grow, don’t grow alone.
I’m grateful for, cheering for and praying for you!
Grace and Peace,
Josh

Child Dedication Event: September 26
Raising children to know Jesus and become like him requires a lot of commitment and community. Our child dedications are milestone events where 1) parents commit their children and their child-raising efforts to God and 2) the church community affirms our commitment to supporting the parents and children in their spiritual development. If you are a parent interested in dedicating your child at our next event, September 30, please go to stillnaz.com/dedication for more information.
Family Fall Fest @ YCC: October 31
We love our neighbors, so we’re throwing a Family Fall Fest at our York City Campus on October 31. This family friendly event will take place from 6-8PM. Save the date now and watch for ways to invite and serve!
Youth Fall Retreat: September 18-20
It’s our annual fall retreat, a time for 6-12 grade students to get away together at Camp Penn, for a time of connection and growth in Christ. Registration closes on September 2. Sign up for the retreat here.
Grow
A relationship with Jesus brings us into relationship with other believers. Our relationship with Jesus grows as we grow in relationship with others. Discipleship Groups are intended as places to cultivate growth in Christ together. Please don’t try to grow alone. Join a group this fall.

Give online or write “Celebrate Recovery Fund” in your check’s memo line.
World Evangelism Fund: supports the global work of the Church of the Nazarene. Thank you for giving $31,450 so far for our goal of $68,000! Invest with us in God’s international kingdom by selecting “World Evangelism Fund” online or writing that in your check’s memo line.
