Details for Summer Kickoff (this Sunday at 10AM)

Happy Summer Kickoff Week!

We’ve been talking and praying about it for weeks. Sunday, from 10am-2pm, at our Stillmeadow Lane Campus, we will bring both of our campuses together with our Haitian congregation for a worship bash and baptism celebration and potluck and fun.

NEW WORSHIP LOCATION AND INTERPRETATION

We are moving our worship location to the parking lot on the west side of the Family Life Center (where we regularly worship together).

Because we are worshiping with our Haitian brothers and sisters, we will have interpretation to guide the process. We will have worship lyrics printed and online at www.stillnaz.com/lyrics.

Two Final Requests

As you pack up your lawn chair, potluck dish (sign up here), friends and extra shoes, here are three final preparation requests and details:

  1. Will you keep this day and those involved before the Lord in prayer?

We strongly desire that the Summer Kickoff put God’s goodness and glory on display for the York Community to experience. We’re praying for an outpouring of God’s strength and power, for unity between campuses and congregations, for lives to be changed, for the baptizees to be strengthened in their faith, for the neighbors to be blessed.  (You can invite a friend that God brings to mind. Just share www.stillnaz.com with them for details.)

2. Will you help us bless Soles4Souls?

Our Vacation Bible School Kids will be collecting all types of shoes, from sandals and sneakers to formal shoes, as long as they are new or gently used. Your shoe donation will help Soles4Souls provide footwear to people in need around the world and supports their efforts to fight poverty.

It is special that this summer kickoff lands on the day the Church celebrates Pentecost Sunday, when God poured out his Holy Spirit on the church to empower them to share the good news with others. Will you join me in praying: “God, would you do it again?”

Grace and Peace,

Josh and the Stillnaz team
