Hello SNK Team!
How are you? How was your week? My hope is that you found moments to pause, notice our God’s great wonders, and thank Him.
His wonders are all around us! Waking up to a new morning, the beautiful Fall sunshine and cool breezes, the laughter and play of children, good news you didn’t expect to hear, a smile or kind word from a friend.
“Who is like you – majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (Exodus 15:11b)
Our God works big wonders too, so “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:18-19).
With wonder and prayer in mind, here are some highlights and important information pertaining to this ministry we share together with Christ:
The new Wonder Ink curriculum trial for preschool and elementary has begun! Please continue to join together in prayer for wisdom and discernment as we explore this potential change this season, keeping our same mission of “Jesus to all generations”. ❤️

Important Updates &Reminders:
1. Early Childhood (Nursery) & Preschool Volunteers – This is a friendly reminder that there should be no personal snacks or beverages (other than water bottles) in the rooms for the safety and well-being of these precious little ones. This reminder is also coming from the daycare. We want to make sure we are not leaving spills or hazards for the children in childcare. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation.
2. Elementary Volunteers – All beverages should have lids, and the children should only be allowed to bring in water. This prevents spills and stains. Water bottles and drinks with lids can be stored at the back table by the entrance. There should be no snacks in the elementary worship space Sunday mornings.
3. The daycare asks that we please remember to lock away all hand sanitizer due to the safety risk for the young children. Let’s be good stewards and share our space together with the grace and care of our Savior.
4. Please Read This: As the number of children joining us in kids’ worship continues to grow (praise the Lord!), we want to ensure every child is safe, seen, and loved while having opportunities to grow in their faith. To do this well, we need more caring adults to come alongside our children and help make each experience meaningful! Family Ministry has volunteer needs across all age levels. This month is particularly low in volunteers for Elementary. If you feel God may be leading you to serve an additional Sunday, or if you know someone who has a heart for investing in the next generation, we would love to hear from you! (stillnaz.com/serve for new volunteers; contact Trudy or Pastor Tara to serve an additional Sunday).
5. Please remember to take a moment to click “accept” or “decline” on your Planning Center invites, and be sure to put in your Block-out dates. This helps us know what areas are filled and need filled for each Sunday. (Thank you!)
6. Please remember to check tags before allowing children to leave with an adult. The adult must have a tag to take a child out of a worship space or classroom. Older siblings under the age of 18 cannot pick-up their siblings.
7. As we shepherd these precious children our God has entrusted to us, let's remember to pray with them, listen to their stories, play, and remind them how amazing and wonderfully made they all are by our amazing and wonderful God!

Praise God!
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. - Ephesian’s 1:3, NIV
When I see you walk through the doors on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings, I often find myself thinking, “Wow, God! We are blessed!” These may not be the exact words, but that’s the heart behind them.
Ephesians 1:3 reminds us that in Christ, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. Sometimes, I see these blessings in the most ordinary moments, and I am so grateful.
I see you coming in with babies, coffee, diaper bags, and everything else you’ve gathered on your way out the door. I can imagine your morning filled with getting everyone dressed, breakfast, finding that missing shoe that you know your little one had just 2-minutes ago. Perhaps you were feeling good about arriving on time when that diaper blow-out hits just as you reached your hand for the door to leave. (Oh, I remember those days!) Or maybe your early elementary child suddenly decided they just had to practice tying their shoes right as it was time to go, and your preteen child crawled back into bed for just “five more minutes”.
And still, you came. You said yes.
Yes to faithfully and relentlessly raising your children surrounded by a church family that loves them.
Yes to teaching them the ways of Jesus.
Yes to patience when things don’t go as planned.
Yes to continued love, even when you’re tired.
Yes to leaning into the Lord’s grace and mercy.
Yes to showing up.
I see you. I see the sacrifice. I see the love. I see the little ripples of faith that may not feel significant in the moment, but will leave beautiful eternal impact on your children. Spiritual blessings.
So rejoice! Praise God for those messy, joyful, ordinary moments that He is using to build something amazing and beautiful in your family. And keep showing up. Keep saying Yes. God is faithful, and you are not doing this alone.
I see you Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings. I am praising God for you. I am praying for you, and I know our amazing and good Father is cheering for you too.

Hello, SNK Preschool & Elementary Leaders!
Thank you to all who were able to attend the new curriculum training last Sunday. For those that were unable to attend, we missed you! And we look forward to journeying with you this next month as we explore Wonder Ink!
Here is a brief overview of what was covered in the training. 😊
1. Why This Curriculum?
We chose this curriculum because it was designed with children in mind spiritually, developmentally, and practically. It is…
o Biblically grounded
o Age-appropriate (both lessons and activities)
o Consistent with a structured order of worship
o Engaging and fun
o Easy to follow in order to lead
o Family Friendly – with a Spotify playlist of songs, family devotional videos
2. Various Testimonials from other churches were shared from the website: Feedback/Reviews from others on the curriculum
3. The Core Values of Wonder Ink are:
o God Knows Me.
o Jesus Loves Me.
o The Holy Spirit Leads Me.
o I am a Child of God.

4. Trudy and Tara each shared about what a typical Sunday morning would look like in preschool and elementary. We are keeping the same sequence/structure within both spaces with some changes in the intentionality and emphasis on connection (with God and the children).
5. Formatting of the lesson plans and a general run through of the schedule was provided. The group played one of the Bible Trivia Emoji Videos that can be used as a transition to whole group from arrival/kid connect time in elementary.
6. The following tips were provided to help Prepare to Teach Well:
o Review the lesson early in the week – Don’t wait until Saturday night!
o Gather your supplies ahead of time – (Host & Storytellers) – reach out early if there is something you need
o Practice key transitions or activities at home before trying that Sunday
o Most importantly, pray for each child in your group by name.
7. Teaching & Engagement Tips:
o Connection over curriculum – listen, smile, pray, lead in love like Jesus
o Curriculum strengths – engaging structure, age-appropriate lessons, support for teachers/small group leaders (what to say, questions to ask, pictures of activities)
8. Preschool and Elementary leaders divided into two breakout sessions to view videos describing and showing what it looks like. They discussed what stood out to them, what they were excited about exploring, and any apprehensions.
9. The groups returned as a whole group to summarize their thoughts. Overall, the group presented as interested and excited to try it out!
10. Discovered hiccups include greater “behind the scenes” prep work for Tara, Trudy, Patsy, and Beth M. as we navigate how to use the website and format the content to be prepared and delivered smoothly. Lessons will still be provided on Planning Center. Using the Planning Center app helps make viewing them easy. We encourage everyone to come with a mindset of curiosity and adventure as we navigate the curriculum together. We will return to our typical curriculum that we’ve been using for November. This will allow time to receive feedback from all of you before making purchasing decisions.

Hello SNK Families!
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6, NIV).
Raising children is joyous, exhausting, holy work.
There are moments of laughter, celebration, and incredible joy. There are also moments that leave us feeling tired and wondering if we are getting any of it right. Sometimes if can feel like the hard seasons far outweigh the joyful ones.
But God is with us in all of it.
As families, let’s pause for a moment and simply acknowledge the holiness of what we are doing. For real, just pause and think about it. Not to pat ourselves on the back (or sink into self-pity over mistakes made), but to recognize that loving, guiding, teaching, and discipling our children is sacred work. Holy work.
And we don't do it alone.
We have our Lord to guide us, strengthen us, and give us wisdom. We also have one another. We are co-laborers with Christ and each other in the discipleship of His children.
What an incredible gift and beautiful calling!
So, keep going, families! Your faithfulness matters, and God is with you in each and every changing season.

Hello SNK Families!
We’re excited to celebrate together at our church-wide Welcome Bash on Sunday, August 30! Worship will begin at 10:00 AM at our York City Campus.
Please remember to bring sunblock, lawn chairs, bottled water, and anything else your family may need for outdoor worship.
Our children and teens from both campuses have been invited to worship and sing together, and they are preparing to lead us in the song “Can’t Steal My Joy!” We’d love for families to practice singing and dancing along at home so the children feel comfortable participating on August 30. There will not be monitors available for them to watch and follow during the song.

Hello SNK Team!
It is August, and what a joy it is to continue to serve alongside you sharing the joy of being a part of God’s Kingdom together. In the August Blog for families, I shared a poem titled, “A Dear God Summer” by Wendy L. Macdonald that beautifully reminds us that God often reveals His love through the simple wonders of creation. She concluded the poem quoting Hebrews 1:12, pointing us to the truth that our God remains the same through every season.
Our God, who created the beauty around us also created each of us with care and purpose. This is reflected in this month’s memory verse (Psalm 139:14) that our preschool and elementary children will be learning.
I continue to pray that you and your own families would be reminded of His presence and the wonderful purposes He has for you. I pray He gives you strength, endurance, and rest in Him that you can continue to be shining lights to those around you. Thank you again for the ways you faithfully serve, encourage, and share God’s love with His children. May all glory and praise go to God our Father, and let’s continue to keep the families we serve in our prayers as we all transition out of the summer season and into what God has next.

These simple moments of prayer help cultivate hearts that look to Jesus, create space for the Holy Spirit to work, and model a life of faith for Christ's young disciples in training. Let us live out our faith that God can use prayer to encourage, comfort, and shape a child's walk with Him.

o Current 5th graders (moving up to 6th grade) will be dropped off at the Elementary worship space for one last time. They will be celebrated and prayed over during the 9:00am service. Then, during the 10:30am service, Nikki Stocker (Middle School/Bridge Director) will transition them to Youth Group.
· Move Up Sunday - 8/9
o Upcoming Kindergarteners will be dropped off at Preschool for one last time during both the 9:00am and 10:30am service times. Trudy Gunnet (Preschool Director) will move them into the Elementary worship space during service times after they celebrate with and say good-bye to their preschool leaders and friends. Parents will pick up their upcoming Kindergarteners from Elementary after the service.
o All children should have the grade they will begin this Fall on their check-in tags starting 8/9.
· Back to School Sunday and Kindergarten Event - 8/9
o Kindergarten Event – This milestone event provides parents of upcoming kindergarteners a time to feel supported and ask any spiritual or general questions about kindergarten. Parents and their children are provided a picnic lunch and casual conversation follows while the kids play. We gather back together again for popsicles and prayer to close the event.
o Back to School Sunday/Backpack Blessing: Children returning or beginning school are encouraged to bring their backpacks for a special back-to-school prayer blessing.

Hello SNK Families!
Happy July! This month we are continuing our Kingdom Quest adventure as we learn more about God and His Kingdom. One of the greatest gifts of His Kingdom is that we are invited to be a part of God’s family!
Summer is one of my favorite seasons for many reasons, including the special moments it tends to bring. I love being a part of, and hearing about, family vacations, camps, opportunities to serve, and cookouts with family, friends, and neighbors. What fun! These simple moments often can become some of our sweetest memories.
Simultaneously, we know that family life is something we’re all continually learning about. It can be joyful, challenging, and full of opportunities to grow. The same is true as members of God's family! As we follow Jesus together, He teaches us how to love one another, forgive one another, and grow in faith.
This month, our young disciples in training will discover more about God's Kingdom family during our Sunday morning Bible lessons in both our preschool and elementary ministries through the following Bible story themes:
Week 1 - God’s kingdom grows when you hear and do what He says.
Week 2 - God’s kingdom grows when you use what He’s given you.
Week 3 - God’s kingdom grows when you forgive.
Week 4 - God’s kingdom grows when you pray and don’t give up.

We feel so blessed to get to serve together with you in discipling Jesus’ youngest disciples. This July we continue our Kingdom Quest adventure teaching more about God and His Kingdom. Sunday morning Bible lessons in both our preschool and elementary ministries have the following Bible story themes:
Week 1 - God’s kingdom grows when you hear and do what He says.
Week 2 - God’s kingdom grows when you use what He’s given you.
Week 3 - God’s kingdom grows when you forgive.
Week 4 - God’s kingdom grows when you pray and don’t give up.

Kidz Ministry has volunteer needs across all age levels. If you feel God may be leading you to serve an additional Sunday, or if you know someone who has a heart for investing in the next generation, we would love to hear from you! Having enough caring adults in each classroom helps us provide a safe, loving environment where every child can experience the love of Jesus, build meaningful faith-based relationships, and grow in their faith. Thank you for prayerfully considering how you can be part of what God is doing in the lives of His children!

As we shepherd these precious children our God has entrusted to us, let's remember to pray with them before dismissing small groups to Kid-Connect time. One simple phrase I often use when leading small groups is, "We're going to pray, then play," and you're welcome to use it as well. You're encouraged to begin your small group time with prayer too. When we intentionally begin and end our time with God, we remind our children that He is at the center of everything we do. These simple moments of prayer help cultivate hearts that look to Jesus, create space for the Holy Spirit to work, and model a life of faith for Christ's young disciples in training. Let us live out our faith that God can use prayers to encourage, comfort, and shape a child's walk with Him.

Preschool Preview Sundays – 7/19, 7/26, 8/2
To help make the transition to Elementary Kids Ministry feel more comfortable and familiar, we are planning a few "Kindergarten Preview" Sundays before Move-Up Sunday (August 9). During the 9:00 a.m. service time on the following dates, our soon-to-be kindergarteners will walk with Trudy Gunnet to the Elementary Worship Space for worship and/or the opening activity before returning back to their preschool class.
Mid-Atlantic District (MAD) Kid & Preteen Camp - 7/20 to 7/24
5th Grade Graduation - 8/9
Current 5th graders (moving up to 6th grade) will be dropped off at the Elementary worship space for one last time. They will be celebrated and prayed over during the 9:00am service. Then, during the 10:30am service, Nikki Stocker (Middle School/Bridge Director) will transition them to Youth Group.
Move Up Sunday - 8/9
Upcoming Kindergarteners will be dropped off at Preschool for one last time during both the 9:00am and 10:30am service times. Trudy Gunnet (Preschool Director) will move them into the Elementary worship space during service times after they celebrate with and say good-bye to their preschool leaders and friends. Parents will pick up their upcoming Kindergarteners from Elementary after the service.

Hello SNK Families!
Happy July! This month we are continuing our Kingdom Quest adventure as we learn more about God and His Kingdom. One of the greatest gifts of His Kingdom is that we are invited to be a part of God’s family!
Summer is one of my favorite seasons for many reasons, including the special moments it tends to bring. I love being a part of, and hearing about, family vacations, camps, opportunities to serve, and cookouts with family, friends, and neighbors. What fun! These simple moments often can become some of our sweetest memories.
Simultaneously, we know that family life is something we’re all continually learning about. It can be joyful, challenging, and full of opportunities to grow. The same is true as members of God's family! As we follow Jesus together, He teaches us how to love one another, forgive one another, and grow in faith.
This month, our young disciples in training will discover more about God's Kingdom family during our Sunday morning Bible lessons in both our preschool and elementary ministries through the following Bible story themes:
Week 1 - God’s kingdom grows when you hear and do what He says.
Week 2 - God’s kingdom grows when you use what He’s given you.
Week 3 - God’s kingdom grows when you forgive.

Parents of soon-to-be Kindergarteners: We want to support you as you begin this next milestone and have a picnic together with you after church August 9th! After our picnic, the children will go with an SNK adult to the playground to play (or an indoor space if raining). As the kids play, we will enjoy conversation together providing tips on how your family can start the school year off right, from both practical and spiritual perspectives. Hello SNK Families!
This is a friendly reminder that this Sunday, May 31, is a Family Service Sunday. This means the following:
There will be no preschool and no elementary Kidz Ministry. Children will join their families in the Family Worship Center together.
The 9:00 service will have the baby room and 2-year-old only room will open after the worship portion of the family service. The 2-year-old room will be located across from the baby room.
During the 10:30 service, the baby room and 2-year-old room will not be open.
The Grace Space will be open during both services.
We look forward to worshiping together as a whole church family with you on Sunday!

First, you can pray for the children, families, and volunteers that will be entering our campus each night. You can also register to serve at VBS here! What a joy it was to celebrate our risen Savior and King, Jesus, together as a big family this Easter Sunday! It was a morning of singing praise to God together, praying together, learning together, playing together (JTAG egg hunt!), encouraging one another, celebrating baptisms, and serving together – All in worship of our Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, joined together in the power of the Holy Spirit. My heart is so full of gratitude to God for His goodness, grace, and mercy. My heart is also filled with gratitude for all of you! Let us continue living in Christ’s resurrection hope and love!

Hosts, please remember to cue our tech person for the “many ways to worship slide” to provide a visual to help our children understand that there are lots of ways to praise God in worship. The kids may also need the reminder that they are to remain up with the group, and not running around the back of the room or at the walls during worship time.
Baby & Preschool Reminders –
Baby room/nursery volunteers: please remember to both check and cross off name tags. We have received some concerns from families that this is not consistently happening.
Baby room/nursery: please remember to turn off the battery-powered toys to help save the batteries. They seem to be running out quickly.

We hope this email finds you all well and that you’re having a great week so far.
This is a quick message to share some information about this Sunday. It’s Palm Sunday, and we are looking forward to the kids joining the adults together for a Family Service! It is going to be so great seeing the preschoolers and elementary children sing Hosanna with the worship team following the Kids’ Message. They have been singing and learning the words each Sunday this month during Preschool and Elementary worship time. What a blessing it will be to all sing and worship God together as a big family!
We will have coloring pages and crayons available for pick-up as you enter the Family Life Center. We know these have been enjoyed by many of the kids while sitting together with their families. There will also be a BINGO page for the children. As they hear the words in the sermon by Pastor Jonathan Phillips, they can circle the word on their card until they get five in a row to shout “GO”! What a great way for the kids to hear the sermon!
The Grace Space will be opened after the worship portion of both the 9:00 and 10:30 services for our young ones and a family member to use. Please be sure an adult remains with your child in the Grace Space.
We have a plan for our littlest ones too! The Early Childhood room will be open during the 9:00am service time only. A 2-year-old only Sunday school class will be opened at 9:00am as well after the worship time of the 9:00am service. The 2-year-old class will be in the Early Childhood room.
Coming to the 10:30am service? The Grace Space will be opened following the worship time, and the baby room is available for any nursing mothers needing some time alone with their precious infants.
We are so looking forward to worshiping together as a family of God and seeing His kids praise and lead the song, Hosanna!
