Texas Floods, Youth Cornhole & BBQ, Rise Against Hunger

Dear Stillmeadow Family,

Three Truths to Take With You This Week

As you walk into this new week, let’s remember together these three scriptural truths from the messages yesterday:

  1. “His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:14b)

  2. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13-14)

  3. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12)

We can serve our time like Daniel did with timeless and timely integrity because we belong to the timeless kingdom of Jesus who has redeemed us and forgiven us of our sins.

Responding to the Texas Floods

One way we serve our time is by responding to disasters like the heartbreaking floods in Texas. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) is actively supporting partner organizations that are responding to the crisis and have already provided Crisis Care Kits and chaplaincy support. If you’d like to partner with NCM, you can build a Crisis Care Kit with these instructions. These will be in place for the next disaster.

At this time, a designated giving link specific to this response has not been created. However, donations can be made to the NCM Emergency Relief Fund. Should a broader response be required, funds from this account will be used to support those efforts.

And most of all, let us press on in prayer for those who experienced loss of loved ones or precious belongings and for those who are serving the community in this time.

In His love and power,

Josh
