Rise Against Hunger Results, Back to School Sunday, & More
Dear Stillmeadow Family,
Yesterday we hosted a Rise Against Hunger event at our York City Campus. We brought 80+ people of all generations to pack 10,000 meals. And, cool story, we exceeded our goal of covering the cost of those meals. We raised $4427.50 to date! Thank you to those who gave and to those who served! Let’s pray for the people who will be receiving those meal packs and for God’s grace to multiply Rise Against Hunger’s stories of impact.
As we enter this week, my heart is heavy for those who suffer from hunger and other catastrophe’s in our local community and around the world. In the messages yesterday we meditated on Job’s experience of suffering and God’s grace to him in the middle of the pain.
My prayer for us this week: God, would you hear the cries of the hurting today. Listen to the hungry, the sick and the aching. Jesus, you entered the suffering world to suffer with us and to suffer for us. You are God-come-close. Spirit, comfort those in our midst and send us with your comforting grace to those living in pain today.
Grateful for, praying for and cheering for you,
Josh

Next week we’ll be sending 24 teens and 5 adults to the Mid-Atlantic District Teen Camp. Let’s pray for God-encounters for each of them and that what happens at camp spills out into spiritual fervor in our youth ministry and church.
Be a part of this special back to school blessing!
It’s hard to believe, we’re at that time of year already! We want to bless our kids and teens as they embark on a new year of learning. And we have a special time for kindergartner families afterwards!
