The unfoolish Jesus, Welcome Bash, Child Dedication
Dear Stillmeadow Family,
Thanks for praying for teen camp
We prayed for the Spirit to move in unity and transformation and healing and vulnerability and mobilization…and we saw God answer specific prayers. Let’s continue to pray for our youth and for our kids as they return to school this month.
Jesus was no fool
Yesterday we reflected on the wisdom shared in Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, tying them to the story of Jesus “growing in wisdom and stature” in Luke 2:52. Isn’t it something to consider that at no point in the life of Jesus did he walk in the way of fools? 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 John 3:5 all affirm that Jesus never sinned.
That’s why we follow his lead
There has never been a leader or teacher like Jesus. He is the King of kings because he is literally the perfect person for the job.
Are you following Jesus’ lead in your life?
The core invitation Jesus gives humanity is this: “Follow me” (Mark 10:21, John 21:19, etc). Here are three evaluation questions to consider:
Do I repent and seek repair when I act like a fool instead of like Jesus?
Do I spend time throughout the day with him in prayer?
Do I seek to imitate him in how I relate to others, spend money, use time, consume media?
Follow the unfoolish Jesus and you’ll find wisdom for life and life everlasting.
Grateful for, praying for and cheering for you,
Josh

Child Dedication
The most important task of a parent is to create a home where their child can begin and grow in a relationship with Jesus. The Child Dedication event is a milestone moment where the parents and the church community publicly commit to serve our kids, surrender them to Jesus and set an example for them to follow.
