Be Baptized // Vision Sunday, Pastor Kent and Ronnie Retirement
Happy New Year Friends,
We are three weeks into our newest series: Baby Steps — the basics to following Jesus. And Pastor Tabitha and Pastor Isabell invited us into baby step #3 yesterday: Be Baptized. Check out the Stillmeadow Lane Service on YouTube or the York City Campus Service if you didn’t get a chance to be with us.
Be Baptized on Baptism Sunday: February 1
We’ll be celebrating those who have said “YES” to Jesus on Sunday, February 1, in all of our services. If you have believed in Jesus’ name and have not yet been baptized, we invite you to sign up at the link below. If you have been baptized, we encourage you to show up and celebrate those making this most important decision!
New Daily Reading Schedule with Living Word
Last year we ventured through the entire Bible with a Bible App Plan. This year, we’re partnering with folks at Living Word for their weekly devotionals with daily readings. We will have a few printed off and available at our welcome centers, but you can find digital copies on their website here. (Yes, we are linking to another church. No, we are not in competition with them. Yes, we are on the same team and in the same spiritual family!)
Gratefully Yours,
Josh
The Main Announcements
Here’s the main announcements for this week:
Vision Sunday on January 25
New Giving Platform
Celebrating Kent and Ronnie Vandervort
Vision Sunday & Chili/Soup Cook Off on January 25
It is important to take time to remember God’s faithfulness and to set aside time to prepare ourselves for God’s future. Vision Sunday is a look back at the year before (2025) and a look ahead at the year to come (2026).
We’ll hear stories of God’s work in our Sunday morning services. And we’ll gather both campuses together at our Annual Chili/Soup Cook Off on Sunday Night from 5:30-7:30 at our Stillmeadow Lane Campus.
And, to make it even more interesting, we will have a fun competition for those who bring a chili or a soup to share! Go to stillnaz.com/visionsundaycookoff to sign up for what Chili or Soup or Side you’d like to bring!
Celebrating Kent and Ronnie Vandervort
At our Chili/Soup Cook-Off, we will be honoring Pastor Kent and Ronnie for their many years of service at Stillmeadow. Kent has retired from his role as Administrative and Leadership Pastor and shifted to serving as bookkeeper for Stillmeadow.
Please bring a card with a gift card or cash as a “Thank You!” for the almost 30 years of service to God’s kingdom through Stillmeadow.
New Giving Platform
In 2026 we are switching online giving platforms from ShelbyNext to ChurchCenter. We already use ChurchCenter for our groups, family ministries check-ins, and directory! Just go to stillnaz.churchcenter.com/giving to start giving online through Church Center. Watch this video for an easy explanation.
