5 Steps for Unity in 2026 // New Small Groups, Cookoff Winners

Dearly beloved,

Yesterday’s Vision Sunday and Chili/Soup Cookoff was such a gift. The baptism stories in the morning service, the testimonies and the delicious food at the Cookoff, the local law enforcement serving as chili/soup judges, and the time of celebrating Pastor Kent’s retirement were incredible. Thank you to everybody who participated in set up, table hosting, food-bringing, story-telling, welcoming and cleaning up!

Five Steps for Unity this year

In the morning services (click here for Stillmeadow Lane and here for York City Campus) and at the cookoff, we issued the Embrace Unity challenge. I encourage you to pick this up and do this daily and watch God work in and through you.

  1. Pray for unity (John 17:21)

  2. Repent of all hatred and disregard (Matthew 4:17)

  3. Follow Jesus, the Great Unifier (Matthew 4:19)

  4. AND Become a Gatherer (Matthew 4:19)

  5. Serve the Suffering (Matthew 4:23)

We still want to hear from you

In this year of “embracing unity” we want to hear GodStories from you and your ideas for how we can "embrace unity” in the year 2026. Give us your feedback here. We collected a few at the Cookoff, but would love to hear more!

Gratefully Yours,

Josh

PS We’ve got a SuperBowl Party at York City Campus next Sunday, Feb 8. Doors open at 6. Join in the fun at 350 Chestnut Street, York, PA.
