Listen to Jesus // Ash Wednesday, New Small Groups, Women’s IF: Event
Dearly beloved,
Yesterday, John Farley at Stillmeadow Lane and Jade Frederick at our York City Campus, gave us the last baby step of our series: “Listen to Jesus.”
In Matthew 17:5, the Father interrupts Peter and says, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
There is much clamoring for our attention and our faith, but only One voice is worthy of total obedience and trust. Notice the first thing Jesus says to his terrified disciples: “Get up. Don’t be afraid.”
Join me in Unified Prayer for York
As you know, we are praying for unity every day this year. The days between Ash Wednesday (February 18) and Easter (April 5) are a special time of Christian unity in York County, as we join with 29 other congregations in focused prayer for York. Follow the prayer guide available online and at our welcome desks. Integrate the prayers into your morning and mealtime prayers. Let’s watch what God does.
Gratefully Yours,
Josh
