The Peace // Xtreme Xpress Bus Ministry, Men’s Retreat, Disaster Team
Happy Easter Stillmeadow Family!
He is Risen!
We have entered our second week of our “Embracing Resurrection” series. Each week of this series we’re looking at scripture with the question: “what does it mean to keep the resurrection of Jesus at the center of our everyday lives?”
On Easter Sunday we were challenged to embrace the peace of Jesus through the problems and pains of our everyday lives.
Three times in our gospel reading (John 20:19-31), Jesus said: “Peace be with you.” I encourage you to integrate this phrase into your own experience with Jesus. Set aside a couple minutes for the following prayer exercise: Think of a painful, difficult, or troubling situation that you are currently facing. Choose one to focus on, and imagine Jesus saying to you, “Peace be with you.”
In Resurrection Peace,
Pastor Josh
