On Mission // Summer Kickoff, VBS, Camps and Teddy Bears
Dear Family of God,
I’m still reveling in those baptisms from Sunday, thanking God for each person who was baptized and each story that was told. If you haven’t had a chance, go back and watch the baptisms (9:00 here, 10:30 here, YCC 11:00 here) and be encouraged. Will you also pray for each of the 9 who were baptized?
These 9 were baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which means they were baptized into the redemptive mission of God that perfectly taught and modeled by the Son and is empowered by the Spirit. It also means that they were baptized into the family fellowship that God has created in the church, which is the body of Christ and servant to the world. What an incredible thing to witness! And if you’re baptized, what an incredible thing to remember!

Summer Kickoff Worship: June 14
Both campuses will come together to be led in worship by the Lincoln Christian Church Youth Choir at 10AM at Stillmeadow Lane. Worship will be followed by a potluck meal and family activities! Sign up for the potluck here. We’re also collecting stuffed animals for the VBS Mission: “Teddy Bear Brigade.” Learn more here.
Vacation Bible School and the Teddy Bear Brigade
From June 15-18 we are having Vacation Bible School. You can register here. As part of our VBS, we’re encouraging our kids to bring in new or gently used stuff animals to bless children in crisis with the Teddy Bear Brigade. And the whole church is invited into the collection! You can bring donations and place them in our collection bins at the welcome center at both of our campuses!
Summer Camps

Give
Kids & Youth camp scholarship/fundraiser – Camp is coming quickly! Will you give of your time by praying for our kids going to camp from July 20-24th and our teens August 3-7th? We hope to send every kid & teen to camp by providing the necessary funds! It costs $275 to attend kids camp & $350 to attend teen camp. Will you consider stopping by the welcome desk & giving in one of the envelopes so every student can attend?
Teddy Bear Brigade - We are collecting barely used/new stuffed animals for our VBS Missions “Teddy Bear Brigade”! They will be sent to children in disaster areas as well as police departments for child trauma situations. There are designtated containers at the welcome desks to put your donation in. Our collection goal is 700 stuffed animals!
