On Mission // VBS Thanks, Day2Pray, Rise Against Hunger
Dear Family of God,
A super duper big thank you to all of you who participated or helped with Vacation Bible School last week! We ended up having 115 children and 65 volunteers! And we collected 856 stuffed animals for our Teddy Bear Brigade! We explored the theme “Kingdom Quest” inviting children to follow Jesus as King of their lives and this world.
As we move into our third week of our series “Living on Mission” I encourage you to think of your days the way that the youth did on Mission Week last week. Every day was set aside for God’s mission in their lives. They served __ children through Sports Camp at our York City Campus, pairing the good news of Jesus with the fun of sport. What would happen if we approached every week like Mission Week? What would need to adjust in your life to do that?
One way that we can live on mission together is through serving at the Rise Against Hunger event! See more info here and below!
I again encourage you to dig into the Living Word Devotionals and see more scripture about building your life on God’s mission. Find the readings here.
I’m grateful for you, praying for you and cheering for you as you allow Jesus to prepare you for what’s ahead and as you look to him through it all.
Pastor Josh
