On Mission // Camps, Pray for NYC, Rise Against Hunger
Dear Family of God,
As we conclude our series “Living on Mission” I encourage you to keep finding ways to adjust your life for the mission God has for you. We have plenty of opportunities through Stillmeadow that you can sign up for at our Serve Page. And there are lots of opportunities right outside your door: neighbors, co-workers, teammates, baristas, receptionists, cashiers, etc.
As you serve, remember Jesus’ words that we meditated on yesterday in our services. He repeatedly said, “Do not be afraid” (Matthew 10:26, 28, 31). Why did they not need to be afraid? Because of the Father’s care and the Spirit’s presence! Living on Mission is not always comfortable, but it is always good. You may have to lose some things, but “whoever loses their life for [Jesus’] sake will find it” (Matthew 10:39).
Again…one way that we can live on mission together is through serving at the Rise Against Hunger event! See more info here and below!
I again encourage you to dig into the Living Word Devotionals and see more scripture about building your life on God’s mission. Find the readings here.
I’m grateful for you, praying for you and cheering for you as you allow Jesus to prepare you for what’s ahead and as you look to him through it all.
Pastor Josh
PS…if you missed the services yesterday, check out the message from Pastor Chastity Frederick at City Campus and the message by Pastor Burdette Lahr at Stillmeadow Lane Campus.
