Kingdom Parables //8.02.26

Dear Family of God,

Yesterday we wrapped up our second summer series “The Yoke of Jesus” by looking at the Kingdom Parables of Matthew 13:31-33, 44-52. A question that rings like a bell through each parable: “Is the kingdom of heaven what defines your life?” Each of the parables exposes lies that we believe and they all invite us into a surprising, all-consuming, joy-filled life centered on the King of the kingdom of heaven. I encourage you to tune in to the message from the York City Campus or from the Stillmeadow Lane Campus to think more on this important question.

I also encourage you to write or revisit your previously written Growth Plan. This is a way to intentionally think through and submit the different aspects of your life according to the kingdom.

Another practical way to organize your life around Jesus and the kingdom of heaven is to gather with other believers in a group dedicated to growing in Christ-likeness. Our Fall Session of Discipleship Groups will begin in September, with groups throughout the week. Look below for more details.

I’m grateful for you, praying for you and cheering for you as you allow Jesus to prepare you for what’s ahead and as you look to him through it all.

Pastor Josh

PS…I again encourage you to dig into the Living Word Devotionals and learn from Jesus through scripture. Find the readings here.
