Unsearchable Wisdom // Fall Discipleship Groups, Welcome Bash

Good morning Stillmeadow Saints,

Yesterday we heard the story of Animo (www.animoguatemala.org), how Will and Amber Deeds are serving in Guatemala. “Healing begins with friendship” is one of their core beliefs, and God is bringing breakthroughs in the discipleship relationships that they are forming with the men in their recovery house, street ministry and coffee roasting. Our team that is going to Guatemala in October is looking forward to meeting up with them again!

It was really cool how Animo’s story lined up with the message from Romans 11 in yesterdays messages (Stillmeadow Lane and York City Campus): God’s Unsearchable Wisdom includes bringing people of different cultural and religious backgrounds together through the work of Jesus Christ! We are all the same: all of us are in need of his mercy because all of us have disobeyed and strayed from his plan for our lives (Romans 11:32, 3:22-23). But like the song says, his “grace is greater than all our sin.” So, let us respond like Paul does in his doxology (Romans 11:33-36), with praise!

As we continue our sermon series, let’s put to heart the theme verse: Romans 12:1-2.

1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

I’m grateful for, cheering for and praying for you!

Grace and Peace,

Josh

PS…I again encourage you to dig into the Living Word Devotionals and learn from Jesus through scripture. Find the readings here.
